So often, we hear that it takes a village to care for a baby. For many of us, this is absolutely true as there are so many different components to parenting. We look for help in so many places during the first years of a child’s life; from hiring a lactation consultant to reaching out to grandparents to babysit- the help we receive to ensure our child’s well-being is amazing.
The internet and social media in general are great tools with information readily available at your fingertips. On the contrary, having all this information and resources can become overwhelming – especially as a parent who is responsible for the well-being of a little one. Either way, we can all agree that there is nothing greater than to feel empowered- to know that you have the proper knowledge to make informed decisions for yourself and loved ones.
I sat down with CarolAnn from Belly Matters to give her some information about my services as a Certified Sleep Consultant and get some information about what she has to offer. CarolAnn is a Certified Birth Doula and mama. She empowers expectant women and their families throughout labor and birth by sharing research based information as they navigate pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period. My favorite part was that our philosophies on birthing and sleep training went hand-in-hand. Both journeys are personal and unique, can dramatically shift a negative experience to a positive one, and ultimately effect health and overall well-being.
Whether you are currently pregnant and looking for guidance on your journey to motherhood or are a new mom looking for postpartum support. CarolAnn is the person who can empower you, hold your hand, and generally, become your go-to for all things mommy related-after all, it really does take a village.
Regardless of who is in your village of resources and people to help with your little one, here at Luna Sleep Consulting, we welcome everyone and love to work alongside other members of your village to make sure your child is getting the best care.

As for my village, I wouldn’t know where to start to tell you about all the individuals that show love for my daughter Ellen. It starts from immediate family, grandparents, cousins and friends and extends to colleagues, community members, and even strangers.
